Springtime on the Farm

11 Apr Springtime on the Farm

We are a little under a month into Spring and the Trees are starting to wake up. That means a lot of moving parts will start to be in motion. The Cherry Blossoms are in full force this past week and we have brought in one of nature’s hardest worker to help us. Broetje Orchards brings in over 5,000 boxes of bees to help with the cross pollination of our apple and cherry trees. The reason bees are so important is because they transfer pollen from male part of the flower to the female part resulting in the plant’s fruit being formed. Next time you see a bee, Thank them for all the work that they are doing in order for us to have fruit.
