Nature’s Hard Worker

04 Apr Nature’s Hard Worker

Springtime has arrived here on the farm and trees are beginning to wake up. One of the familiar sights during this time of the year are the boxes of bees in the orchards. This year, in partnership with Laflor Bee Keepers, we had over 5800 bee boxes to help pollinate our Cherry and Apple trees. Without the help of these busy and very hard workers our trees wouldn’t produce any fruit. About 1/3 of the food we eat are dependant of pollination. So in short, next time you see a honeybee, thank them for the important role they play in nature.
