Take a Bite Out of Hunger
The Take a Bite Out of Hunger program has donated more than 2.5 million pounds of fresh apples to those in need over the last 12 years. Created in 2010, the Take a Bite out of Hunger program seeks to feed the underserved while also calling attention to food insecurity across the nation.
Founded in 2010, the Take a Bite out of Hunger program works with retailers across the nation to help feed those underserved in their communities while also calling attention to food insecurity across the nation. To date more than 2.5 million pounds of fresh apples have been donated to those in need.
Every community in the country is home to families who face hunger. Your neighbor, child’s classmate or even coworker may be struggling to get enough to eat.
When you purchase specially marked bags of FirstFruits Farms apples including Gala, Red, Grannysmith, Fuji, and Opal apples, you are helping donate fresh apples to your local food banks. Check your local grocery stores from January through February.
